New consent process for school vaccinations

Wed 08 Apr 2026
Following our email in January (link here) regarding data sharing, we are writing to update you on an important change to how consent is collected for the school immunisation programme.

This change applies to the upcoming Year 8 HPV vaccination session on 22nd April, as well as all future vaccination sessions moving forward.

What is changing?

The NHS has moved to a new digital platform called MAVIS. From now on, all requests for vaccination consent will come directly from the NHS via email, rather than from the school.

What you need to do

  • Check your email: The NHS has already sent the consent link for the Year 8 HPV vaccination to your registered email address via the MAVIS platform.

  • Complete the form: Please follow the link in that email to provide or decline consent for your child.

  • Future vaccinations: Please look out for similar direct emails from the NHS for any future immunisation programmes your child may be eligible for.

Support and Queries

If you have questions about the online consent form or the vaccination itself, please contact the School Age Immunisation Service (SAIS) directly.  Staff at the academy do not manage the digital consent platform.

Thank you for your support as this new system is introduced.
